The Car on the Slab

The first car is the one that absolutely doesn’t work. Engine is blown, tires are flat, animals live in it, etc. It isn’t working and its gonna take a helluva lot of work to get it moving again, if it can even be done.  If we do attempt it there is going to be a lot of remanufacturing of the engine parts etc to get it working.

This is unfortunately the state of some people. While physically and emotionally, they may be alive, internally they are just like this car. They need to be dragged around everywhere. The kind of people who can get jobs, but don’t, they depend on the government systems to get their basic needs met and expect others to help them.

Until they the mechanic decide to pop the hood and get started, the car won’t run. They may have other mechanic/drivers who stop by and talk to
them, and offer to help or even just out and out tell them what they need to do, but don’t do it.

In fact another mechanic truly cannot touch another mechanic’s car for the better until the owning mechanic grants permission and participates in the change.

If you are this car and you are reading this, what steps are you going to take to get yourself moving again? That is the biggest question you need to ask yourself. You also need to realize that you are responsible for your own life and no one else.
