Why You Should Choose an Exercise Program

What is holding you back from attaining physical fitness through a fun workout?

So often, we have the intellectual knowledge that we need to exercise, but we lack the motivation, and as a result we run afoul of the principles of health.  While we are violating these simple principles, we are letting our bodies decay with the diseases of affluence, and endangering our lives and setting a bad example for those around us.

So, what can you do to get into an exercise program that you can enjoy?

First, you can ask yourself, what do you enjoy doing?  For me, it’s a combination of Qigong, Shaolin, Kung-Fu, walking, cardio and lifting.  Those are the physical activities that I relish the most, and as a result I am motivated to stay up with them.  For you it may be different.

If you like to go for walks, do more walking, even if it is on a treadmill for 30 mins to an hour.  If you like to dance, well there are tons of places that offer dance and Zumba classes.  You can turn almost anything into an excellent workout.

When you decide to work out there would be several benefits that you reap from it.  First, you’ll feel like you are more in charge of your life.  The next is a greater sense of well being, you’ll be happier more often, and finally, even if you are doing a little bit you will be changing the trajectory of your health and moving toward a longer life that you can enjoy with family and friends.

So, find an exercise you like, set reasonable expectations for yourself, and get started!
