The Importance of Intention and Action

Have you ever sat back and thought:  “How did I end up here?”  Whether it is for good or for ill, do you ever ask yourself that question?

I bet you have, haven’t you?  I was setting here doing my weekly review amongst other tasks this Sunday afternoon while watching Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter is Dead.  And I thought of this question.  I call this a movie about responsibility.

Swell, the main character is tasked with taking charge of the household while her mom is in Australia after the untimely death of the babysitter.

Needless to say there is eventually a crisis and breaking point where Swell finally says enough is enough and brings the family together and demonstrates effective leadership by motivating the family to clean up the house b/c of a pending fashion show that Swell is holding for her company at their house.

Now, I won’t spoil it for you, but it is excellent how it turns out.  While it is a bit contrived, it is an excellent example of how focus, intention and even a good fiasco and can motivate you to do what is necessary and make things workout for the best result.

However, it doesn’t happen in the vacuum  Swell had to make all that happen.  The same thing is true of our own lives. Regardless of where we are at, we are all one about face away from moving in the right direction, or destroying everything.

Intention combined with action are very powerful.  Use them well!
